Knee Pain
Knee pain is one of the most common reasons athletes and active adults seek physical therapy. It can come from the kneecap (patellofemoral pain), the tendons (patellar or quad tendinopathy), the meniscus, or the ligaments (ACL, MCL). Most knee pain is not a knee problem in isolation — hip strength, ankle mobility, and how you absorb force all feed into it.

The shoulder trades stability for mobility, which makes it vulnerable when the rotator cuff, scapular muscles, and thoracic spine aren't working together. Rotator cuff irritation, impingement, labral issues, and AC joint pain all present differently — and they all respond differently to loading.

Low back pain affects most adults at some point and is rarely as fragile as it feels. Disc irritation, joint stiffness, and muscular guarding all produce similar symptoms. The path out is almost always graded loading, not rest and avoidance.

Neck pain often comes from a combination of sustained postures, limited thoracic mobility, and deconditioned deep neck flexors. It can refer pain into the shoulder blade, arm, or head — and headaches with a neck origin are extremely common.

Hip pain shows up as groin pinching, deep joint ache, lateral hip pain, or hamstring-origin soreness. Impingement (FAI), labral irritation, gluteal tendinopathy, and hip flexor strain all live here, and they're commonly mislabeled as a 'tight' hip.

Ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, and plantar fasciitis are among the most under-rehabbed injuries in sport. Ankles that never fully recover strength and mobility go on to cause knee, hip, and back problems for years.

Tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, wrist tendon irritation, and throwing-related medial elbow pain all come from load exceeding tissue capacity. The fix is rarely rest alone — these tendons need graded, specific loading to remodel.
